We at HOTAM operate a shopping website in Hebrew and English. We are working so that people with disabilities can use the website.
Conformance status
We are making efforts to make the website accessible according to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations 2013, Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, and WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
The website is partially conformant with these requirements, and the work is still in progress. We do not claim full conformance.
Adjustments on this website
The website has a skip link and can be used with a keyboard. The accessibility menu offers larger and smaller text, wider letter and word spacing, increased line height, a readable font that supports Hebrew, text alignment to the right, left or center, high contrast in a light or dark mode, inverted colors, grayscale, heading and link highlights, a reading mask and a reading guide, a larger mouse cursor, reading selected text or the text of a clicked element aloud, and reduced motion. Preferences are stored on the device and can be reset. We also respect the operating system's reduced-motion preference. The website supports Hebrew right-to-left and English left-to-right, text alternatives for images, headings and page regions, and a control to pause the opening film.
Known limitations
Some parts of the website are provided by third parties, and we do not fully control their accessibility. These include the Cloudflare Turnstile check on the contact form and the external payment provider's payment page. If one of these blocks you, contact us by phone or email and we will help you complete the enquiry or the purchase. Read aloud uses the browser speech engine and a Hebrew voice. If the browser has no Hebrew voice, read aloud is unavailable or may be spoken in another language.
We have not yet completed screen-reader testing, and we have not yet completed testing of the checkout and payment flow. We are continuing to improve the website.
Accessibility review
Date of review: . The review included automated testing with Lighthouse and axe, and manual checks of the keyboard, focus, zoom, reflow and reduced motion. We tested in Chrome on desktop and in mobile emulation. Pages tested: home (including the product), bag, contact, this accessibility statement, and the English version.
